Elagabalus: Rhesaena, Mesopotamia

1509.jpg

In older references many of these coins were attributed to Caracalla. Some European scholars and auction houses are now thinking these could be Elagabalus. I have them all listed here under an Elagabalus album but within the coin description I have them as either Caracalla or Elagabalus if there is any doubt.

Elagabalus: Carrhae, Mesopotamia

1535c.jpg

As under Rhesaena, these may be either Elagabalus or Caracalla. Where there is a question I have catalogued the coins as either Elagabalus or Caracalla.
