A Small Gallo-Roman Hoard

These 20 bronze antoniniani were owned by my great-grandfather who lived in south-western France. He was a peasant, not a collector. Looks like he was given a part of a hoard. Too bad we'll never know from where...

There are coins of Gallienus, Salonina, Postumus, Victorinus, Tetricus I, Tetricus II and Claudius II. I don't know from which mints they were issued.

Handsome coin. The cithar (ancestor of the Spanish guitar or the Indian sitar) is the instrument played by Apollo. I always wondered what kind of music was played with it. Did it sound more like Spanish, Greek, Arabic, Indian music ?
