The portrayal of Zeus on these early Side issues is interesting in that it is more refined and less awkward than the earlier parallel leg issues of other mints, while the placement of the torso more closely resembles that of the later crossed leg style. Almost a transitional style, it is evident that the engraver was seeking a more natural portrayal of the seated god.
You may want to check the Price 240 reference - it seems out of place being a reference to a Pella tetradrachm issue with completely different mint controls. - a typo?
