Domitian (as Caesar), 69 - 81 AD
Obv: CAESAR AVG F DOMITIANVS, laureate head of Domitian facing right.

Rev: COS V, helmeted horseman galloping right, his right hand is extended and trailing behind him.

Note: [i]The reverse type might have been inspired by the coinage of Galba.[/i]

Silver Denarius, Rome mint, 77 - 78 AD

3.38 grams, 18.6 mm, 135°

Ex: FORVM
