I understand your point ROMA. I was speaking from my perspective of course. This is a magnificent coin indeed. I never said it was silly for someone with means to purchase it; just that I would have to be nuts to do it myself... Wink

Agreed, although i suppose i could forget finishing college and just buy a coin like this instead. Laughing And who rated this coin less than a 5!! Show me a better one will ya!?
mauseus   [Jan 27, 2008 at 05:18 PM]
Well, the A of PAX and the field mark S are both a little weak....... only joking, who ever posted less than five is just green - this is a marvellous coin.

A happy Lot of Lugs, All Together NOW!

The only explanation for a vote less than 5 is that those voting less do not know ancient Romans well and deducted for minor imperfections that actually give this beauty character...or they are simply jealous!

Superbly superb museum piece. One of the best of the BOT. Still cannot understand how a rating of only 4.7 is at all possible for such a splendid specimen...
Mark Z   [Jun 29, 2012 at 02:40 AM]
Hats off to the engraver who did the work! 5/5!
