Titus RIC II 0038
Titus. 79-81 A.D. Rome Mint. 79 A.D. after 1 July. (3.29g, 18.6mm, 6h). Obv: IMP TITVS CAES VESPASIAN AVG P M, laureate head left. Rev: TR P VIIII IMP XV COS VCII P P, Capricorn left; below, globe. About VF. RIC II 38 (R2). Ex. Harry N. Sneh collection.

An exceedingly rare left facing bust of this already scarce type. Showing the limited number of dies for this issue, this example is a die match for the RIC plate coin, David Athertonís example, and an obverse die match for the Wild Winds example. This type is lacking in many of the major museum collections.
