Anastasius I (491 – 518 CE) Follis (small module), weight 7.51g, diameter 23mm. Mint of Constantinople, first officina. The coin is quite worn, but still quite interesting, because there are visible traces of three punch-marks on the reverse: a star shape composed of eight spokes (Metcalf’s “Type i”), another star shape with more wedge-like rays (“Type h”), and a small annulus (“Type c”).
