031 - Probus (276-282 AD), Antoninianus - RIC 877 (unlisted var.)
Obv. IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F AVG, radiate and cuirassed bust left, wearing imperial mantle and holding eagle tipped sceptre.
Rev. VIRTVS PROBI AVG, emperor galloping right, spearing enemy whose shield lies beneath horse.
Minted in Serdica (KA delta in exe), 4th officina, 4th emission, c 277 AD or 280-81 AD.
22-23 mm in diam, 3,38g
