Philip I , The Syrian AR Antoninianus.
Rome Mint: AD 244-249.
Obverse: IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right.
Reverse: AEQVITAS AVGG, Aequitas standing left, holding scales in right hand, cornucopia in left.
References: RIC 27b.
Size: 24 MM, 3.02 Gr.
Very Slight double strike on obverse, otherwise a complete strike ( FDC ).

Shocked Superb. The portrait is exceptional. I love the perspective of the radiate crown round Philip's head, I haven't noticed that before.

Amazing, Philippus has lots of extremely fine antoniniani but not FDC. This is a real gem, 5* in all categories (style, details, strike, centering)
