"Titus was the very popular victor of the Judean rebellion. He ruled during the eruption of Vesuvius. Titus once complained he had lost a day because twenty-four hours passed without his bestowing a gift. He was, however, generous to a fault. Had he ruled longer, he might have brought bankruptcy and lost hist popularity."
This coin gives thanks to Neptune for the safe return of Titus after the Jewish War.

I am also after a coin with a Neptune reverse, specifically the Denarius of Septimius Severus with Neptune standing on the reverse with the trident.... I always loved that type and had chances to buy one in the past but didnt take them, and regretted it ever since.... So I am keeping my eyes out for a nice, high grade Sept Severus AR Denarius of Neptune. Even before collecting Roman coins, I had a fondness for the God Neptune, ever since learning about all the Greek then Roman Gods in 8th grade, heh. I had a deep interest in Ancient History ever since then.... I had a great 8th grade History teacher who really got me into it, and explained things very well and interestingly for an 8th grade mind. So even though it was years after that... many years, untill I bought my first Roman coin, that teacher is what sparked my interest, and If I had known the prices that some of the later Roman Bronzes et cetera went for, I would have probably been collecting Ancients long before when I started.
