BMC 3; SNG Cop 306. Countermark: Howgego 529.

This countermark always appears on the coins of Trajan and are placed at the end of the obverse legend. "ΔAK" is for the title Dacicus, a title bestowed on Trajan in the local year 55. This practice of countermarking a coin of the reigning emperor with a new title is confined to the reign of Trajan.
