Hungary. Anonymous 12th Century Class III; attributed to Géza II (1141-1162) by Lengyel and Adamovszky, tentatively attributed to him by Unger and Frynas, but this attribution is not accepted by Huszár, Toth-Kiss and Gyöngyössy.
AR denar (average: .2 g., 11.5 mm.), .13 g., 11.32 mm. max.
Obv: Three parallel bars with a stroke and small cross at each end, a small cross on the side of each bar, two pellets left and right.
Rev: Four pellets and four crescents around a small cross in the middle.
Struck in Esztergom.
