RIC 922
COLLECTION NO. 889
Attribution of this coin to the 4th unspecified oriental mint instead of Antiochia (as in RIC V.II) is based on the article by S. Estiot, "L’Empereur et l’usurpateur: un 4e atelier oriental sous Probus"; Studies in ancient coinage in honor of Anndrew Burnett, Spink, London, 2015.
Note: On this coin the cursive digamma (symbol of the 6th officina) looks very "oriental" as opposed my coin no. 705 where the cursive digamma look almost like a latin "S".
Provenance: Jesus Vico Room Auction 147 lot 134 (group lot) = ex Giovanni Dattari collection
