Parthia - Artabanus II (10-38 AD) or Gotarzes II (44-51 AD)
Metal/Size: AR 20; Weight: 3.3 grams; Denomination: Drachm; Mint: Ecbatana; Date: 10-38 AD or 40-51 AD; Obverse: King facing left with long square cut beard, semi-wavy hair to jaw-line, wearing four-banded diadem with bow and three ribbons.  Also wears plain torque.  Earring peeks out of hair.  Beads surround top of coin left to right. Reverse: Beardless archer, seated right on throne; in right hand, bow; below bow monogram; Greek inscription ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΝ / ΑΡΣΑΚΟΥ / ΕΥΕΡΓΕΤΟΥ ΔΙΚΑΙΟΣ / ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ ΦΙΛΕΛΛΗΝΟΣ ( KING OF KINGS / Arsaki / Beneficial DIKAIOS (righteous/just / EPIFANOUS FILELLINOS - "Friend of the Greeks") legend on left read from outside.
