Domitian as Caesar under Titus RIC II T0268
Domitian as Caesar. AR Denarius. Rome Mint. 80-81. (3.17g, 19.5mm, 6h). Obv: r to l out- CɅESɅR DIVI F DOMITIɅNVS COS VII, laureate head right. Rev: PRINCEPS IVVENTVTIS, Minerva advancing right with spear and shield. RIC II T268, RIC 268.

As Caesar, Domitian had many fewer coin types minted during Titusí reign than he did during Vespasianís longer reign. Even as Caesar, Domitian used Minerva on his coins which was to become much more common under Domitian as Augustus.
