obv. AVT K - AI KOMODOC
laureate head r.
rev. NEIKOPOLI - PROC ICC
Demeter in long double chiton, veiled, stg. l., resting with raised l. hand on long burning
torch and holding in extended r. hand unknown object
ref. a) not in AMNG
b) not in Varbanov (engl.)
c) Hristova/Hoeft/Jekov (2018) No. 8.10.5.1 (plate coin)
very rare, about VF, dark green patina
The staff is fringed at is upper end and looks more like a burning torch than a sceptre. Therefore I think it is Demeter. But if the unknown object is a patera, Hestia comes into play.
