Notes: Rhoemetalkes is the only non-roman person to appear on a coin together with Augustus. Thrace did not become a Roman Province until A.D.46 in the reign of Claudius. The Kingdom had a troubled history after the death of Rhoemetalkes in A.D.12 which culminated in the murder of the last ruler, Rhoemetalkes III, by his wife.
