FREE ANCIENT COINS FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS
"Numigeoarthistography: Using coins in the instruction of Geography, Art and History" -Gar Travis

Jefferson Community College students learning about ancient Rome
and examining FORVM's free ancient coins for teachers.
Forum's free ancient coins are available only to history or Latin teachers in the U.S., at public schools, grades 6 and up, with a specific lesson plan related to ancient Rome or the Byzantine Empire.
Discounted coins are available to private school and home school teachers that are not eligible for the free coins. The discounted coins are unsorted and uncleaned ancient coins as they were found in the ground. Some of the discounted coins will be in nice condition, but others may be slugs.
The free coins are broken, bent, holed, or worn. Most of the free coins are coins removed from our uncleaned coins because they are poor quality. Quantities are limited to 30 coins per teacher. Due to limited quantities of the free coins, incomplete requests and requests which do not meet the requirements of the program will not be supported. A link to the free coins request form is at the bottom of this page. The form must be submitted by mail with a self-addressed stamped envelope.
