Joe Sermarini: Becker made many replicas of Syracuse tets. The flans for his replicas do not have the flan casting sprues that most genuine Syracuse tets have. A casting sprue is usually seen as an indicator of a fake, but for Syracuse tets the sprue created when casting the flan is normally still evident after striking.
