SALVS AVGG, Salus standing right, holding snake in arms and feeding it from patera in left hand.
Sandoz Copy of RIC 184, RSC 118.
The B of "VIB" looks like an rounded A.

Sold as a replica by a Munich dealer.

ANTONINUS OF VALERIANUS994 viewsHello, I bought this coin on Ebay for 10 dollars. If the avers and the reverse seem ok, the smooth section is very doubtful. The weight of 4,41g is also beyond the theoretical weight of 3,38g.
What think of this currency?
Thank you for your assistance.

Postumus (259-268) silvered antoninianus brockage324 viewsObverse: IMP C POSTVMVS P I AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right
Reverse: incuse of the obverse
Weight 3.6 grams.
Struck with same dies as the unsilvered example already in the Forvm fakes archive. Note the strange lettering and mistake "PIAVG" instead of "PFAVG" in addition to the overall incorrect style. Silvering appears to be paint (based on the photo). Offered on Ebay with the caveat "copy???".
