Dryantilla.181 viewsAntoninianus of Sulpica Dryantilla. Obverse:SVLP DRYANTILLA AVG Diademed and draped bust r. on crescent. Rev. AEQVITAS AVGG Aequitas standing l., holding scales in r. hand and cornucopiae.
General consensus on this one being a fake due to the fact that:
1) The coin is apparently bronze, while all recorded examples have been overstruck on Severan era denarii/antoninianii.
2)The obverse lettering is of the wrong style.
3)All coins of this usuper are very crude. This appears to be too well made to fit in with the stlye of the other known examples.
This coin has been discussed here.
