AE ('orichalcum', but actually executed in copper) [forgery of] sestertius, Rome mint, circa A.D. 65.
Obv. NERO CLAVD CAESAR AVG GER P M TR P IMP P P Laureate head r.
Rev. PACE P R T[ERRA] M[ARI]Q PARTA IANVM CLVSIT Temple of Janus with closed doors at right; in field, S C.
Diameter 34mm, thickness 2.0-2.8mm. Brown tone, shading to black in places on obverse. General appearance of cast coin (blurred detail of lettering, emperor's hair etc.), but with striking-crack which is difficult to explain in terms of this technique. Pinkish tone of metal, indicating use of copper, visible in places near edge and subsequently confirmed when coin was defaced by present owner.
Bought on eBay U.K. as 'Nero medal or sestertius?', 8th October 2013.

Nero 22 viewsFantasy,
There are errors in the obverse legend, CIAVD(ius) instead of CLAVD(ius)
and the last part of the legend sould be IMP PP not IIII PP
"The rev. is copied from an As of Nero, with S C which are appropriate only for bronze coins, and the numeral I under a line in the exergue, indicating the denomination, one As."
