Both symbols were also used at Kalchedon; this monogram was also used on a later Lysimachos type with the reverse legend modified to KAΛXA-ΔONIΩN (BMC 21). The style is that of Kalchedon.
GS18799. Silver tetradrachm, cf. SNG BM 131 = BMC Pontus 21 (rev. legend KAΛCA-ΔONIΩN), Seyrig Calcédoine pl. 24, 20 (monogram), VF, pit or ding on nose, Kalchedon (Kadikoya District, Istanbul, Turkey) mint, weight 16.572g, maximum diameter 29.8mm, die axis 315o, c. 240 - 220 B.C.; obverse diademed head of Alexander the Great wearing the horn of Ammon; reverse Athena Nikephoros enthroned left, Nike crowning name in extended right hand, left arm rests on grounded round shield decorated with Gorgoneion, transverse spear against right side, BAΣIΛEΩΣ (king) downward on right, ΛYΣIMAXOY (Lysimachos) downward on left, monogram inner left, grain ear in exergue; apparently unpublished; SOLD
