In 155 B.C., Consul Publius Cornelius Scipio Nasica Corculum defeated the Dalmatians and conquered their capital, Delminium, ending the first Dalmatian war. The Dalmatians were compelled to pay tribute and Corculum was granted a triumph in Rome.
