The Pegasus issues of Thyrrheium are related to Timoleon's military expedition in 344 B.C. to Sicily in support of Syracuse, a colony founded from Corinth. The types are found in Sicilian hoards, which indicate they were struck until the early decades of the third century B.C. GS90989.
