Septimius Severus, 9 April 193 - 4 February 211 A.D.
In 209, Severus began to subdue the land in the north of Scotland, ravaging it severely. Road-building and forest-clearing, the Roman army reached Aber. Scottish tribes used guerrilla warfare tacticts against the Romans.
