Geta, 209 - c. 26 December 211 A.D.
References all identify the sacrificing figure as Geta. Indeed, it usually does appear to be a younger figure without a beard. We think the sacrificing figure on this coin looks like Septimius Severus. Perhaps it is just our imagination, or perhaps it was an engraver's error.RS84972.
