It was the Biblical Kenath, which was captured by Nobah from the Amorites (Numbers 32:42 and Judges 8:11) and taken back by Geshur and Aram. The epithet Gabinia (Γ.ABI in the reverse legend) was probably derived from Gabinius the Proconsul of Syria.
