Mark Antony, Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus, and Marcus Lepidus signed the Treaty of Tarentum, extending the Second Triumvirate until 33 B.C. The obverse legend abbreviates, Marcus Antonius, Marcus filius, Marcus nepos, augur, imperator tertium - Mark Antony, son of Marcus, grandson of Marcus, augur (priest of divination), imperator for the third time. The reverse legend abbreviates, triumvir rei publica constituende, consul designatus iterum et tertium - [One of the] three men for the restoration of the republic, consul elect for the second and third time.
