Great Britain, George III, 25 October 1760 - 29 January 1820, Modified Into a "Secret" Box
Similar boxes made from American silver dollars are sometimes called "Opium Dollars." In 1797, at the Soho Mint, James Watt and Matthew Boulton used their steam powered presses to strike 450 tons of the new "cartwheel" pennies, at 1 ounce of copper per coin. The penny was found to be too heavy for regular use and was only struck for that single year.
