One of their chief towns was Tullum. They are mentioned once in Caesar; the Leuci, Sequani and Lingones were to supply Caesar with grain. Pliny gives them the title of Liberi. Lucan celebrates them in his poem as skilled in throwing the spear: "Optimus excusso Leucus Rhemusque lacerto."
