John VI basilikon?
« on: November 23, 2014, 03:46:28 am »
This interesting coin is being offered as S.2540 of John VI, but I rather think it's a variant of the standard Andronicus III type S.2473.
A real 2540 is shown at the bottom.

I agree, the coin is unlike any S.2540 any S.2541.
The legend of this coin is similar to S.2473.
Where can I find more such variation in 2473?

Actually it's more like S.2471 with the legends reversed.
