Ayyubid Damacus al-Adil II 636H?
« on: October 24, 2014, 12:09:26 pm »

Looks like Balog 511 to me but I almost always get Islamic coins wrong. 2.894 grams, 22.9 mm.  It came with crusader imitatives but does not match them.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Balog 544 as follow:Al Malik Al Salih Ayyoub Ibn Mohammad
marginal legend:"Douriba bi Dimask"struck at Damascus-remaining date missing-it should be 636 H
Al Malik Al Salih
Najm Al Dounia  Wa El Din
Ayyoub Ibn Mohammad

Al Imam Al Mustansir
Billah Abou Jaafar
Al Mansour Amir Al Mou'minin

Please have a look at CCS [Crusaders]# 3---8 Crusaders Imitative dirham with Al Salih Ismail,as here we have Al Salih Ayyoub Ibn Mohammad, different Sultans, and this coin is not imitative crusader's Dirham
Regards
Nassif
PS:This coin could me mixed with crusaders as it's same area and close date
