Help with Greek AE14
« on: October 15, 2014, 01:31:51 am »
Having some problems with this little Greek.

14.2 mm
1.48 gms

OBV - Bare head right
REV - Filleted cornucopia, NWIV to left, PO to right.  I think.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the help.  The reverse is a match, so I am guessing you have nailed the Campania origin.  I think that the my obverse is a youthful, unbearded head of Apollo or Dioscure (picture attached).

Anyone have a reference for this combination?

I think the obverse on your coin is a female bust.
