Antoninus Pius? Amaseia, Pontus? Ae 20 mm 6.36g
« on: October 11, 2014, 05:56:05 pm »
I acquired this nice Ae Roman provincial coin.  The seller identified it as Antoninus Pius.  It measures 20 mm and weighs 6.36g.  There appears to be an altar on the reverse.  Could it be an issue of Amaseia, Pontus?  Could it be Trajan with the PA over the bust?  Any help would be appreciated.  Pogh_poor

Not Antoninus Pius, in my opinion. Looks like Trajan, to my old eyes.
