What exactly does "coin weight" mean here?

They are weights which were designed to weigh coins in order to assure their quality. I don't know all that much about them, other than that I acquired one several years ago because it fit in with my collection of medieval Hungarian coins. It is in my gallery: https://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-106219.

I attach a link to a Coin Week article on coin weights: https://coinweek.com/ancient-coins/coinweek-ancient-coin-series-collecting-ancient-weights/
