Obv. a military saint (Saint Theodore most likely) and rev. a cock. Never seen that before. Fabric would seem to indicate an early date (6th/7th century).
Regards

It´s a warrior saint and a peacock. The peacock was an important motif in Christian art from Antiquity until the early Medieval times and is often found in funerary art, paintings, mosaics and on the mantles worn for the Feast of Nativity in the Byzantine church. The peacock was seen as representing immortality as the ancient Greeks thought that peacocks did not decay after death.
