How can we be sure it was used as a pendant?  Wouldn't that be treatment too rough for a fourre to keep much of its silver coating?

I thought that the hole on the right side like in the following Hadrian denarius and Constantinus follis, it shall only be missing from the terminal.

That's a nice fouree. That would have been a hard coin to detect when pristine.

Loved the coins with the old pendant attachments still on. I haven't seen that before.

It is surprising to me that the ancients most often did not care where they placed the hole. I suspect almost any modern human would want either the obverse or the reverse, whichever they favored, to be right side up.

^^^ It might not have mattered where it was holed if the whole coin were seen by the wearer as some kind of good luck charm.

I've seen a few similarly carelessly holed, more modern coins; mostly English or Australian pennies/halfpennies that have been struck by bullets.

On some coins the holes are very carefully placed.  I have some in my gallery with three holes all arranged so as to leave the bust untouched.

The different practices certainly speak to different uses for the coin.

 Hi Joe,

Yes I also think it's interesting, it could be used more amulet, and so important was not the exact location of the coin.
