Bronze Items
« on: August 31, 2014, 02:19:27 pm »
Here are some items that I cannot identify.

Item 1 measures 59mm in length.

Item 2 is 35mmx25mm. This was hinged to something and appears to have functioned as a clasp, perhaps on a chest.

Item 3 67mm length if it were unbent. I've seen this quite a few times on the internet, but no positive id. Is this a bracelet part? Late Roman or post Roman?

Item 4 51mm length. A harness pendant?

Item 5 looks like a trumpet fibula fragment but it's much larger and weighs 24.2 g. Bronze vessel fragment?

3) is a bracelet fragment.  I think post-Roman as the style does not match Roman finds I have seen.

The rest are odd and interesting items.  Each would benefit from its own thread starting with shots from several angles as I am left scratching my head for now.

Or on a book?

Alex.
