AR, each at ca. 22mm

Are these two silver birds from brooches? As seen in the photo, there is no pin attachment. Soldered?

I don't think so.  I would guess they were decoration for something else.  Soldered to the rim of a vessel perhaps.

I'm also hesitate to tell which was the real origin of this..
Maybe  Shawn are right they were some decoration..
but I saw earliar some fibula which have some decoration like this...
