Pinarius Natta AR Denarius
« on: August 25, 2014, 04:52:37 am »
Pinarius Natta AR Denarius. Rome, 149 BC. Helmeted head of Roma right, X behind / Victory driving biga right, NAT below, ROMA in linear frame. Crawford 200/1; Sydenham 382; BMC 756. 4.01g, 18mm, 12h.

Good Very Fine. Old cabinet tone; especially beautiful reverse toning with iridescent flashes.

From the Andrew McCabe Collection.

Edit: Very excited about this coin, the reverse is already mentioned but look at the obverse - so crisp and clear.
