Did the crud pop off in chunks or did you have to pick it to dust? Curious because I have a coin that looks similar.
Half and half but the result is much better when the malachist encrustations
pop off. The results, also, depends by the
patina: when the
patina is light (as in this case) the encrustation can be removed easier and with less damges for the surface of the coin.
