I'm glad to show the results of the restoration of this rare coin.
I had to wark hardly on the reverse but i'm almost fully satisfied with it :)

I only used a surgical blade and a 10x magnificent lent.

Wow, great job. I wish some of my projects would clean up like that! Did the crud pop off in chunks or did you have to pick it to dust? Curious because I have a coin that looks similar.

Half and half but the result is much better when the malachist encrustations pop off.  The results, also, depends by the patina: when the patina is light (as in this case) the encrustation can be removed easier and with less damges for the surface of the coin.

Excellent work on a super rare coin.

Thanks Shawn. I was scared to damage on a so rare coin..... i made a lot of practice on commoner ones before approching this coin.
