Antiochus attribution help needed
« on: August 04, 2014, 10:46:02 am »
Seleucid Antiochus -- Ae 13.2~13.7mm. 2.36g. Obv Artemis r. bow and quiver behind shoulder, dotted border. Rev: ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ right field in dotted letters last part (left) off flan, Naked Apollo standing left, holding bow and (most likely an arrow). I have been unable to find this combination of Artemis and Apollo in Houghton or Hoover.
Any help is most appreciated!
Sorry! ...Could be Antiochus VIII (Gryphos)  Epiphanes. Ref: Horton 327
