Why do you refer to it as a fantasy issue?

i based my assumption on the fact that i thought it was a fantasy type and the border , which has been smoothed in order to make the coin perfectly circular

the style of the coin you linked is not that dissimilar

i guess this opens up the possibility that this is an original coin that has been tooled on the border for use as pendant or to be inserted into a circular cage

any other opinions ?

I think, as Martin does, that this Cyzicene coin is perfectly genuine, even if the flan has been rounded off...
