Absolutely stunning!

I wonder why the reverse takes up less space than the obverse. Are all of these types like that? It looks like the reverse die was meant for a smaller flan.

The early Hungarian coin all have this characteristic style, "the reverse takes up less space than the obverse",
as you see in my "HUNGARIAN-Árpád dynasty rulers (1000-1301 A.D.)" Gallery:

As you can see from Joe's Arpadian gallery, most of the coins of the earlier Arpads had very rudimentary reverses, frequently little more than a cross with a decaying legend. Stkp
