AE19 Greek
« on: April 10, 2014, 09:26:57 pm »
The coin is 19 mm in diameter and weighs 5.74 grams. On the reverse, It depicts a galloping horse and the obverse appears to be apollo. It is hard to tell what is on the reverse because of the bronze disease. I have been unable to find a match for this coin through various means so any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

I think it is not Apollo, Athena and is your coin is this.

Thessaly, Thessalian League:

 AE17.

IPPA-TAS around head of Athena in Corinthian helmet right

QES-SALW-N above and beneath horse galloping right.

 BMC 62.
