Two Islamic coins identification
« on: December 29, 2013, 06:27:26 am »
I kindly ask you help with two silver coins. I hope they're not upside down.

The first:
Diameter - 1,8 cm.
Weight - 2,09 g.

The second:
Diameter - 1,2 cm.
Weight - 1,72 g.

The two are cast modern fakes.

The top one looks like a cast of an Umayyad dinar and the bottom one of a late Abbasid dirhem.

Best wishes
