NRC Ancient Coin-cleaning Videos
« on: September 03, 2013, 07:35:13 pm »
Ave!

NRC has had 100+ emails over the last couple of years, asking us for 'Coin Cleaning' videos. The real problem was editing them. I had no clue, although I did try, sort of... The good news is that we now have the correct hi-def macro camera for close-up coin cleaning videos, and Sheri is our excellent editor. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjP2U4trjM8 I figure if she can do this with underwater pix and video, the First Lesson should be a snap.

Please vote and let us know your preference for our First Lesson.

Best regards,
Kevin

Not sure what settings you have it on but won't play in Austria.

Perhaps it's the Pink Floyd songs "Breath" and "Comfortably Numb" playing as background music?

I selected the Basic Cleaning with Hand Tools since I believe that is what the most newbies like me could benefit from and I think you would get the most traffic from this type of video.

If you do intend on doing a series I would start from the Basics with Hand Tools to Dremel - to electrolysis before getting into more advanced or specialty things such as curing bronze disease or repatination. It just seems like the logical progression from Basic to more Advanced.

Cheers

I tried and got the scuba video. (Very cool, by the way.)
