Alexius half tetarteron??
« on: March 30, 2024, 11:27:07 am »
Hi.
This one matches well the SB 1929 of Alexius I
AE Tetarteron, Thessalonica, 1081-1118 AD. IC-XC to left and right of nimbate bust of Christ facing, holding book of gospels and raising right hand
But it has a very low weight and small size
16mm 1,76g
I could think that is a half tetarteron but I could not find reference to such type.
What do you think?
