Empire of Thessalonica trachy?
« on: December 01, 2012, 12:42:01 pm »
Can someone help me to ID this trachy? I think it is from the Empire of Thessalonica (maybe John Komnenos-Ducas). It is around 15mm wide. The reverse is generally blank but on the obverse you can see a military saint (Saint Demetrios?) jointly holding a staff with another figure (presumably the Emperor). Sorry for the poor quality of the scan. Thanks in advance.
